Life in Bangalore...(Sorry Bengaluru :) ....)
Posting after a long time. Have become very busy with hectic work schedule and not able to spend time on anything else. Well this time I would like to spend some time sharing my experiences and views about life Bangalore.
Bangalore, yes it is nice city, dream city for many, green city for more but I found it little different when compared with Hyderabad. Whether is a plus, nice place for people who party and shop a lot but has its own negatives. Surely I can say that cost of living in Bangalore is more compared to Hyderabad, and of course traffic as every one knows. Believe me it is very difficult(no one will be ready to come if it is less than 2 km or so) to get autos for short distances (i.e for minimum fare of Rs.12/-). On top of it almost majority of the auto drivers have tampered meters.
Coming to the people, well I did not interact much with them but at least city bus drivers/conductors are very harsh, of course as part of their work with almost packed passengers all the time, we cannot help out I guess.
One thing I would like to point out is Corruption is relatively more in Bangalore compared to Hyderabad at least u can see it easily in Govt City buses. If say fare is Rs.6/-, pay him Rs.5/- or Rs.4/- the conductor will simply put it in his pocket and never gives you ticket. I am surprised to know that hardly there is any checking, which I have seen many times in Hyderabad. In this case BMTC (Bangalore Metro.. Trans.. Corp..) is loosing a lot of money.
Coming to the house rents, well I should say owning few houses is better than working for a MNC. For a decent 2 bed-room plot, in a good locality one has to pay 8 to 10 k p.m and on top of it you need to pay 10 months rent as advance. I guess it is pure black money that the house owners are making by renting their houses. I don't think any house owner is paying income tax giving the prompt details of rent received.
Coming to culture, well it is a truly cosmopolitan. Well, I am not going to discuss much about it.
Seems like my run has completed I need to see the timing report, if it is not meeting Oops, I need to look into it again. I have a dead line for coming week. Planning to go home this week end for Dashera (Vijaya Dasami) and yeah to Bhaskar's (my Btech class mates) marriage also. Well this week end is also going to be hectic as the one passed by. But yes I should accept that I had a lot of satisfaction in my earlier visit to places where my grand parents are though it was hectic as I covered around 700-800 km by bus (of course not straight route I went to Anantapur-Uravaknonda-Gooty-YTC (walk for an hour :(, but loved it) - Guntakal - Aluru - Guntakal-Anantapur-Uravakonda-Nandyal-Back to Bangalore). Well so for so good, got to go its already midnight 12:30.
Hope to give more update in my next posting. Feeling happy as India registered a dramatic win today, of course last the series, I felt that player like Dravid should not have been dropped, but well such treatments are required for all non-performers. But some how I never like Dinesh Karthik, one good thing about him is his attitude, good spirit, but draw backs are he is not a front-line or technically correct batsman, but should accept Cricket is a mind game, one should be very deterministic to perfom.
Well, I am trying to stop but my key board is not stopping but I have to sign off
Until next post Adieu..................
